A Case Report of Transverse Vaginal Septum

Abstract
|
|
|
1. A case of transverse vaginal septum was reported and a review of literature related to this case was presented.
2. The present case was that or 27-rear-old i{orean hause wife, G:O, P:Q, who has complained of longstanding se~-ere d~-smeorrhea and heavy vaginal discharge.
3. There was a transerse vaginal septum of 4 mm. in thickness whici located upper 1; 3 of vaginal canal. ~ pus pecker and draining canaliculi witn _ew drainages were found between va--ginal septum.
4. Surgery. including septum resection and re-canalization of vaginai canal ~cas performed with good results.
5. Mlicroscopic ?lamination of resected septum revealed straitfied squamous epithelium and´ capillaries :n underl~-ing connective tissue but inflammator,: cells and scar formation was not: found.
